Tuesday, July 3 – We will check-in and depart our host-hotel near the Minneapolis – St. Paul International Airport on this morning. If you are a national traveler, I will send information about making hotel reservations the previous night. The hotel will provide free shuttle service to/from the airport. If you are one of our many Twin Cities area travelers, I will send information about leaving your vehicle at the hotel. All information will be sent by the first of the year. We will arrive in Milwaukee early to see the Minnesota Twins take on the Milwaukee Brewers in an afternoon contest at Miller Park. After the game, we will travel to our hotel in an upscale Chicago suburb.
Wednesday, July 4 – What could be more America than Wrigley Field on the Fourth of July? We will depart our hotel for Wrigley late this morning and spend the afternoon watching the Cubs host the Detroit Tigers. After the game, we will travel to our hotel near Toledo for the first of two nights in a row.
Thursday, July 5 – This is a morning/afternoon to take it easy before traveling 60 miles North to Detroit to watch the Tigers host the Cincinnati Reds. We will return to our hotel after the game.
Friday, July 6 – Did you know the only city in the world to have more bridges than Pittsburgh is Venice, Italy? Prior to the game, we will take a narrated sightseeing cruise of three rivers. Of all the water rides I have organized on these tours, this is the best. After the cruise, we will cross the river to PNC Park where the Pirates will host the other team from Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia Phillies.
Saturday, July 7 – It’s time to drive North and attend a minor league baseball game in Buffalo. We will also be spending the first of two nights in a row in this hotel, as Toronto is less than 100 miles away.
Sunday, July 8 – We will spend the day in Toronto watching the Blue Jays host the New York Yankees. We will spend the evening at Niagara Falls. You will have free time for ample sightseeing and an evening meal of your choice (many great restaurants to choose from) before we cross the border and return to our hotel in Buffalo. Do not forget your Passport.
Monday, July 9 – We will depart Buffalo for Cleveland. Prior to going to Progressive Field to see the Indians host their in-state and interleague rivals, the Cincinnati Reds, we will spend time at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Tuesday, July 10 – We will depart for the South Side of Chicago to watch the White Sox host the St. Louis Cardinals. After the game, we will return to the hotel where we spent the first night of our trip in the Chicago suburbs.
Wednesday, July 11 – If you are a national traveler, you could choose to fly home from Chicago (O’Hare) on this day. Another option is you could spend an extra night in Bloomington, Minnesota, as the Minnesota Twins have a home game the following night. Our host hotel has free shuttle service, not only to the airport, but to the Mall of America, too. This could lead to a following afternoon of fun and shopping. And if you would like to see the Twins the next evening, you could take public transportation (the Light Rail) which is located near the hotel and brings you directly to Target Field. If you would require another night at the hotel, we can also get you a cheaper hotel rate. If you are one of our local travelers, we will return to the hotel in Bloomington late-afternoon to end the trip.
