Redwood Falls Wood Bat Tournament Saturday, May 31
We will be using two fields. Each are behind the Redwood Area Community Center at 901 East Cook Street.
Concessions will be available. There is no gate fee.
Each team is responsible for supplying one new baseball per game.
No pregame infield/outfield.
If you lose your first game, you will only be playing two games. If you win it, you’re guaranteed a third game.
This is an MSF State Qualifier. State bids will be awarded to the top two teams.
We will follow MSF rules with a few exceptions below:
Only wood bats will be used. As part of your entry fee, each team will receive two bats to keep. They are 29 and 31 inches. Players may use their own wood bats (any size/length/brand is fine).
No pitcher can pitch in more than one game and cannot pitch more than three innings. Innings must be consecutive (no pitcher can pitch the first two innings and then come back into the game later). If a pitcher comes in relief and only throws one pitch to get out of an inning, that still counts as a full inning pitched (even if he comes in with two outs and picks off a runner and doesn’t throw a pitch, that still counts as one full inning).
All games are 6-innings. There will be a 15-run rule after 4-innings and 10-run after 5-innings. We will not start a new inning after 1 hour and 45 minutes, but we will finish whatever inning we’re in (if necessary). We may modify the schedule if bad weather forces an adjustment.

Myself and Luke will be on a baseball tour June 18-24. If you’re a parent(s) who would like to lead a practice or some type of skill development, please let me know. If you’d be willing to throw BP or hit fly balls, it would be appreciated. The more reps kids get, the better they will be. If there’s a weakness on our team, this is a great parent chance to take over and improve us.
Or if any parent would like to contact me about any practice dates/times you’re available to help (in addition to Memorial Day), that’d be great! On the schedule, you will see Eric Steffl has stepped up with hosting a couple of player improvement sessions. The more help at practice, the more skills can get developed in a shorter amount of time. Thank you for your consideration.
Thu, May 22: @Marshall Orange 5:00, @Marshall Black 6:30
